Mishima Logo

Mishiman weapons have a reputation for being the cheapest and least reliable of any of the megacorporations (sometimes wrestling with Capitol for this distinction), though this is not always deserved. At least, this applies to their guns. Their swords are beyond compare in skill of craftsmanship, though they don't happen to be for sale.

Mishiman weapons make extensive use of the bullpup design, which allows for a shorter overall weapon length. Products made by Mishima tend to be very compact and small in size compared to those of other megacorporations, but as a result, they tend to be difficult to maintain or modify, often having no serviceable parts, and sometimes not even made to be disassembled. Many Mishiman products are considered "disposable" if they break down.

Katana3.4 lbs.119 cm1d41d69,700 crowns
Wakizashi2.0 lbs.80 cm1d41d67,700 crowns

Katana are the long killing blades favored by Samurai. They are the most common Mishiman close combat weapons.

Wakizashi are the short-bladed weapons most normally used for committing seppuku. Samurai who have mastered the two-hand technique use them as an additional combat blade.

Carrying both of these blades - that is, carrying the Daisho ("Long and Short") - is a mark of position as a Samurai. In Mishiman society, for a non-Samurai to be found carrying these weapons is punishable by death.

Tsume Pistol Tsume Pistol

This is essentially a stripped down, mass-produced, every-corner-cut cheap personal firearm that has the appearance of but not the performance of the Ronin pistol. It is so cheap and "disposable" that it has an integral clip. The almost all-plastic construction degrades noticeably after going through a single clip. It's intended to be kept in a purse or glove compartment to be used in the case of an emergency, for personal protection, and not for regular combat, per se. It has found its way into the hands of criminals, of course, some of whom appreciate its largely plastic construction for thwarting metal detectors - Although the gun is deliberately fashioned with some metal components included for the express purpose of setting off detectors and avoiding this problem, it's a fairly simple matter for one of a criminal bent to alter the weapon to remove these components.

(An altered Tsume pistol that is reloaded will experience an increased failure rate. After one clip has been expended, the gun will now jam on 19 or 20. After two clips, this falls on 18, 19 or 20. If it survives this long, subsequent clips will degrade the gun enough to increase the failure chance even further. Bullets cost 10 crowns each, regardless of version.)

Ronin Pistol Ronin Pistol

This is a very lightweight pistol with almost nothing in the way of serviceable parts. Its reputation as unreliable is grossly undeserved, as it is more reliable than the Cybertronic P1000, Imperial Aggressor, Capitol Bolter, and Brotherhood Piranha. Still, for long-term field or personal use, little can be done to maintain the weapon if it suffers any damage or even normal wear and tear.

Windrider SMG w. Grenade Launcher Windrider SMG

This SMG is plagued by a reputation as an unreliable weapon. Unlike the case of the Ronin, this is actually deserved. The grenade launcher unit under the barrel is detachable.

Shogun Assault Rifle w. Grenade Launcher Shogun Assault Rifle

The grenade launcher unit under the barrel is detachable. This weapon also comes in a version with a bayonet attachment, but this is generally used only by the Ashigaru, since any self-respecting Samurai would use his Katana instead in close combat. Shogun assault rifles are the least powerful of any of this class, having range and hitting power comparable to SMGs produced by other megacorporations, but exceptional reliability.

Airbrush Double-Barrel Shotgun Airbrush Shotgun

This weapon comes in single and double-barrel versions, and is rarely used in the military. It is more often seen in use by Mishiman police and security forces. It is widely regarded as the least reliable shotgun made by any corporation, and has done much to hurt the reputation of Mishiman products as a whole.

Dragonfire HMG Dragonfire HMG

This variant on the gatling design has the barrels tapered together, which results in a small decrease in overall size. The weapon is designed to be latched onto the operator's arm, with a thumb-switch control, theoretically allowing for one-handed use. Unlike most heavy machine guns of this class, this weapon is specifically designed to be carried by a warrior, rather than mounted on a vehicle, and is the lightest of its class. However, it also has the least hitting power of a heavy machine gun, and there is no concern for accuracy at any range.

Archer Archer Sniper Rifle

This is a fairly popular design of sniper rifle, due to its compact design, easily portability, and low cost. It has slightly less reliability than other corporate sniper rifles, but is still a well-crafted weapon. However, it has low hitting power compared to other weapons of its class, though this is quite sufficient to take out unarmored targets. Thus, this is the weapon of choice of most terrorists and guerillas.

As with most Mishiman weapons, this rocket launcher is fairly small and compact and less durable than other weapons of its class, but also happens to be particularly reliable as rocket launchers go.

Vehicles

Meka Power Armor Meka / Gigameka

Although this is not exclusive to Mishima by any means, the Mishiman megacorporation is well known for making use of powered armor. The Meka represents the larger extension of that philosophy, typically with the "wearer" located in the chest area. Even larger Meka are known to exist, each one uniquely crafted and fashioned to look like a giant Samurai warrior. It is generally accepted that these larger creations are more symbolic than practical, however, as wondrous achievements as they might be of Mishiman ingenuity in design and use of hydraulics.

Dragonbike Dragonbike

The Dragonbike is an example of Mishiman focus on all-terrain vehicles, a hovercraft designed for amphibious use, primarily in the swampy regions of the cavernous underground of Mercury (where environmental controls have gone berserk centuries ago). It mounts rocket pods on the "wings" to each side of the craft, and a modified Dragonfire HMG in the "mouth" of the decorative dragon head on the front.
