More so than any other corporation, Capitol makes its best armor available to the general public. The price puts it beyond the reach of the average citizen, but anyone can purchase Capitol armor by means of Capitol's extensive range of dealerships - many of them specializing in Capitol's most popular brand, Hardback. For the past few years, designer body armor with the Hardback logo emblazoned on the back has been considered something of a "fashion statement" ... and it says much about the dangers of Capitolian life these days.
Capitol body armor follows the basic design of being composed of two or more layers of Universal Textiles' Impervium Ultraweave, sandwiching layers of a sponge-like, cushioning material known as Adrax.
Armor (Civilian Versions) The military versions of these armor suits cost considerably more, and are only available through corporate or black market channels. The difference between the military and civilian versions of armor is that the military versions have complex electronic systems, with the innermost layer lined iwth sensor-webs that monitor the wearer's physical status and give read-outs to the trooper's "dog tag". Some even have more sophisticated systems, largely thanks to Capitol's dealings in recent years with Cybertronic. In the eyes of the Brotherhood, it's bad enough that Capitol risks the contamination of its soldiers by the Dark Symmetry by putting them in such close contact to potentially corruptible electronics, but it would be absolutely unforgivable if such systems were made available to the general public.
